Tweets are powerful tools to circulate information, start movements and even share unbelievable and entertaining happenings. One example of the latter is the Aatma Nirbhar Bull that has left the entire internet ‘mesmerised’.
The story of the Aatma Nirbhar Bull started when Member of Parliament Mr. Parvesh Sahib tweeted the video of a Bull with the caption ‘mesmerising’. The video showed a Bull pulling its cart without any human guidance. The video has received lakhs of views and retweets since then. People are going gaga over the dedication displayed by the bull.
The bull is credited as being Aatma Nirbhar due to his willingness to pull the cart even when his master is absent. The term Aatma Nirbhar has increasingly been used in news and memes after the speech made by the Prime Minister motivating the citizens of the country to be self-sufficient. Preceding the speech various incidences have been recorded that displayed that quality of Aatma Nirbharta, but this self-reliance practised by an animal is indeed unique.
The video provided people with an opportunity to escape all the negative associations of the pandemic. It was not only entertaining but also a relief. Violence by animals against humans and of humans against animals have been making headlines in the past few months, so this news was indeed a breath of fresh air. We don’t know the whereabouts of the bull, but we certainly hope that wherever the Aatma Nirbhar Mr. Bull is, he continues to inspire and lighten the mood of others around him. We wish humans learn from this animal and start displaying Aatma Nirbharta by showing dedication towards their work instead of creating waste by burning foreign products!
