Elon Musk, the futurist, has come up with innovations and breakthrough discoveries since he was a teen. The owner of Tesla Motors and SpaceX has brought innovations to the reality that one could only imagine seeing in sci-fi movies. Musk is known for becoming a multimillionaire in his 20s which many of us still dream of. Recently, he came up with one of the most bizarre proposals. He launched a project to create a Neuralink Brain Chip which would allow people to hear sounds impossible to hear otherwise.
The Neuralink Brain Chip aims to create a link between the brain and the computer. Earlier, Elon Musk had dropped hints about its usage and said that it would allow people to “listen to music directly from the chips.”However, he cleared the world’s doubt about the Neuralink Brain Chip by recently responding to a tweet. This declaration has taken the technical world by storm. Musk had earlier confirmed that procuring the chip would be similar to getting a Lasik laser eye surgery. This initiative was made in an attempt to make human beings compete with artificial intelligence. It would initially be implemented on people suffering from Parkinson’s and other brain diseases.
It is supposed to resemble a “sewing-machine.” Musk had informed us that this device will also help to regulate hormones and use them to our benefit. He is working on this innovation since 2016 and has only held one public presentation about its appearance. Musk’s claim might seem bizarre but he has shown promising results to bring such innovations to reality. This Neuralink Brain Chip will be implanted in the brain. It will be fitted by removing a part of the skull and then connecting it to the electrode threads in the brain. Trials have already been conducted on animals. However, it still remains a mystery to see how it would act on human beings.
