Psychic Phenomena: Is It Something You Can Believe In or Let It Pass?

Isn’t it amusing when someone predicts your future right in front of you without even staggering for a bit? The research was conducted on psychic phenomena especially to expose that these psychic mediums are fraudulent. For example, James Hydrick, a psychic, was exposed as a trickster and he admitted he learned all his paranormal demonstrations in prison. Lajos Pap, a Hungarian medium of spiritualism, was caught for creating animal appearances that turned out to be false. However, many people still continue to believe in the power of psychic phenomena. A survey conducted by the US Gallup found that above one-quarter people believe that humans may possess psychic abilities.

Psychic phenomena are often indistinct and blurry. They sometimes predict a plane crash or the death of someone significant in history. These psychics are thought to put the Barnum effect into play while predicting such things. These predictions are generally vague and are applicable to a huge mass of people. Scientists still haven’t established a concrete proof that says that psychic phenomena do not exist. However, the field of quantum physics has tried to provide logic and scientific reasoning to these happenings. It has not taken the Newtonian physics into consideration when dealing with the realm of particle physics. Instead, it is working around the tiny, non-visible particles.

Charlie Brown from Charles Schulz’s Peanuts, once said, “You can’t solve new math problems with an old math mind.” This explains why materialist scientists will never be able to uncover the truth behind psychic phenomena and paranormal predictions as their methodology does not apply to it. The people considered to possess extraordinary powers will continue to drop jaws around the world. While some people continue to believe in these religiously, some will continue to oppose these predictions. It is on the person itself if they want to live their lives and not take steps simply because a person predicted they shouldn’t!
