Twitter Flooded with Condolence Messages Post Rishi Kapoor’s Demise

A day after the sudden demise of Irrfan Khan, we got another shocking news this morning. Bollywood veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, yesterday after he complained of breathing difficulties, passed away on Thursday morning. Rishi’s brother Randhir Kapoor confirmed the news.

In 2018, the 67-year-old actor was diagnosed with leukemia (a type of blood cancer), following which the actor went through an year long treatment in New York. He returned to India on September 2019 post recovery. Earlier this year, he had to be hospitalized again after being diagnosed with an infection.

And yesterday again, Rishi Kapoor was rushed to the Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital in Mumbai after experiencing breathing issues.

Rishi Kapoor, son of Indian cinema legend Raj Kapoor and Krishna Raj Kapoor, had played leading roles in more than 90 films between 1973 and 2000, of which 36 were blockbuster hits. In his career,  Rishi Kapoor played prominent roles in superhit films like ‘Khel Khel Mein’, ‘Amar, Akbar and Anthony’, ‘Karz’,  ‘Laila Majnu’,’ Saagar’, ‘Nagina’, ‘Hum Kisise Kum Naheen’, ‘Chandni’, ‘Do Dooni Chaar (2011)’, ‘Agneepath’ and ‘Kapoor & Sons’.

Rishi Kapoor had won several accolades for his artwork, including the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his performance in ‘Do Dooni Chaar’ and the National Film Award for his debut role as a junior artist in Raj Kapoor’s ‘Mera Naam Joker (1970)’.

After the news of his demise came to the fore, people from all walks of life flooded twitter with condolence messages for the legendary actor.
